Jakob Ingebrigtsen

The youngest of the three Ingebrigtsen brothers, Jakob stunned the world last year when, aged just 17, he won both the 1500m and 5000m at the European Championships. He also set the fastest time in history for the mile run by a 17-year-old (3:52:28) last year.

He followed up his successful 2018 by winning the gold medal in the 3000m at this year’s European Indoor Championships and the silver medal in 1500m.

He will be 19 on the day of the INEOS 1:59 Challenge and the youngest of all the pacemakers.
